Solid | π΄ Red | Overheat detected |
Blinking fast | π΄ Red | Fan failure detected |
Blinking slowly | π΄ Red | Power supply failure |
Solid | π΅ Blue | Local UID active |
Blinking fast | π΅ Blue | Remote UID active |
βΉοΈ Use Cases for UID Function
Local UID (Solid Blue):
Activated via the physical hardware button to locally identify the device in a rack
β Useful when multiple identical systems are present
Remote UID (Blinking Blue):
Triggered via a management platform or IPMI interface
β Especially helpful for remote maintenance or during RMA procedures

Status | Recommended Action |
---|---|
Overheat (red, solid) | Power off the device, check ambient temperature, verify airflow/ventilation |
Fan fail (red, fast blink) | Check fan operation, replace fan if necessary |
Power fail (red, slow blink) | Check power supply connection, test internal PSU if needed |
UID (blue) | No action required β this function is for identification only |
