Please follow this step-by-step guide to correctly commission your gateway:
๐ Before Powering On โ Connect Components in the Correct Order
Prepare the SIM card:

Disable PIN protection: Ensure that the SIM card's PIN protection is disabled. This can usually be done in the settings of a mobile phone.

Insert the SIM card correctly: Make sure the SIM card is inserted properly until it audibly clicks into place.
Make the connections:

Connect the Ethernet cable: Connect the gateway to your network using an Ethernet cable.
โ ๏ธ Note: Do not plug it into the console port. This may damage the port. -
Attach the antenna cable: Connect the antenna to ensure optimal cellular reception.

Connect the power supply: Plug the gateway into a power source.
๐ Initial Startup โ Step-by-Step
Access the web interface:

Open a web browser and enter the IP address of the gateway to access the user interface.
Update NTP time server:

Navigate to Configuration > General.
-
Enter an NTP server to synchronize the system time.
๐ This is essential for correct operation of certificates and protocols.
Request / upload license:

Fill in the fields on the gateway's start page.

Generate a coded string and send it to: support@brevis.one

You will promptly receive a license file from us.

Upload the license file via the gatewayโs web interface.
Check mobile signal strength:

Go to Status > Modem Status.

Check the signal strength.
๐ถ A value better than -105 dBm is recommended. -
If the signal is weak: Reposition the antenna โ for example, closer to a window or outside the building.
Increase security:

Change the default password of the gateway.

If needed, create new user accounts with appropriate permissions.
Check network settings:

If your network does not use a DHCP server, assign a static IP address.

Ensure that a default gateway is defined to allow internet access.
